Oborevwori: Edevbie Manifesto Promoters Says Education Is Not Scam, Tackles Latimore

A group, Edevbie Manifesto Promoters has said that the experience of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, with the discrepancies in his certificates that led to his disqualification as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, by an Abuja Federal High Court, shows that education is not scam.

This is just as the group said “it is shameful and disgusting that people like Fred Latimore who have no stake in the party, will come out with such senseless position to say that someone like Olorogun David Edevbie is not loyal to the PDP.

Adding that “it is extremely obvious that Fred Latimore is blind folded with lies and spiritual frustration over his pay masters public disgrace.”

Speaking on behalf of the group to Oasis Magazine, one of the group’s coordinators, Emmanuel Edevbie who also is a younger brother to David Edevbie, said Latimore came into PDP when he knew very well that the opposition party is fully aware of snitching and evil anticipation, saying that even after his boss sponsored him to Law School, he turned around to betray him because of his overzealousness for recognition.

“Such people in PDP have become so dangerous and poisonous and hindering the development of the party, Since the said stomach infrastructure crosscapent to the party his dispositions have become questionable. I am not surprised with his statement and choice of words, after all he has the name of a stomach infrastructure, a black sheep media personnel.

“From history, we have known Latimore to be somebody who is capable of betraying his own self talk less of someone that does not bear the same name with him because of recognition.

“Urhobo nation must take note of this man and disassociate itself from him. Of course he is not on Urhobo path.

“Even the DC-23 identified that Latimore is a schemer and a betrayer. He could have hindered the efforts of the DC-23. That was why they refused to give him any political office in the DC-23. He pleaded for it with series of letters he wrote to Sen. Amori. They are there to speak of this as evidence to what I am saying. Latimore has failed, He has even betrayed Okowa at a time and that was the reason Okowa dropped him.

“Although the nuisance he has contributed also helps the party one way or the other in reducing the strength of the party, but people think his misdemeanor weakens the opposition party, but the damage he is causing the political party right now is unacceptable. The PDP is a big family in Delta State and as such we don’t need people like Latimore to cause more damage to us.

“We should be thinking of reconciliation and be happy that the party stands a better chance of winning the 2023 general elections with experience and sound academic achievement. One should concentrate on how to move the party forward towards winning the 2023 governorship election not people like Latimore who have no political value coming on air to talk about somebody who has helped the political party both locally and internationally.”

He continued: “The person that he says is not loyal was one time recommended to be Principal Secretary to late President Umaru Yaradua. A position equivalent to Chief of Staff, He was also one time a Commissioner for Finance for good 6 years during James Ibori administration before he was reappointed to be the economic planner of the state.

“Everybody has the right to contest. That is what the constitution says. Okowa did it during Chief Uduaghan and likes of James Manager so why the hate on David Edevbie. To me it is uncalled for. Here in Nigeria, we do not talk about rotation and for the fact that rotation has become one of the biggest issues in the country, it is not yet defined in the constitution. Every citizen of this country has the right to contest but based on party structure, rotating power became a party concept. It is our choice. David contested as he was advised. If not, even in that 2015 election David was never losing the election but due to the structure of the party, David had to sheathe his sword then Okowa went ahead. During the second tenure David campaigned for Okowa and he never contested after testing his enviable popularity and it was because of that, that David was appointed as the Commissioner for Finance for Okowa for good 4 years in his first tenure and because of his political relevance and experience, Okowa re-appointed him as a Chief of Staff to work for good 2 years and because of his political interest, he had no option but to resign from the office and contest for the 2023 governorship election as a result of Deltans’ demands.

Furthermore, he said: “I see no reason why people like Latimore that have no political value should come on air and say such jargon, to dictate such that is unprofessional. Latimore says he is a legal practitioner but I have never seen him in court neither have I seen him putting up any legal paper against any party. He is only known as someone who talks anyhow. Latimore is a street politician and thinks he can destroy the party other persons built.

“The party that James Ibori built for the interest of everybody? I am even surprised that he can even attack somebody like Amori and James Ibori. Who else has he not attacked? If he can attack somebody who paid his school fees to the Law school is it David that he cannot attack? That man is a very ungrateful person. The party has done well for him. Those who built the party to this level deserve respect and he should respect them. He knows very well that he is not a card carrier of the party because he was never a founding member of the party. He is a political prostitute. He crosses from one political party to another. Just look at him very well; if he knows that one party will not favour him, he will have no other option to cross from this PDP to another party that he thinks that is the best. So, my reason for this publication is this; people should be very wary of people like Latimore. He has misled the party and that is the reason why our able Governor Okowa dropped him. It was because of the intervention of others in the political party that he was not sent away despite the fact that he is a betrayer. Among all the Governor’s aide, who else has been sacked like that? He was sacked because of his misdemeanours, bad behaviour, careless speech and his abuse of his profession. I am looking even out for the NBA to check if he is even among them. He should be checked because how can someone with such noble profession say street credibility is the only option and that education is of no value in Nigeria.”

He called on the public to disregard whatever comes out from Latimore’s mouth or pen, saying “they should disregard it and check it very well.”

According to him, the Okowa government should be very careful with him because he will set the party ablaze.

Stating that “he is very capable to do what is ultimately bad to the interest of the party. Delta State remains PDP and it will continue to be so because PDP has done well for the state. Fred Latimore is of no relevance to the party at the first instance, He is just an errand boy who is trying to act over smart, a betrayal of his origin. ”

“We should also remember that Latimore also said something about Okowa that he is suffocating him and not giving him chance. People should be wary of him because he can bring ruin to the party. If they are willing to save the party, they should be wary of Latimore,” he advised.

Continuing, he said even the opposition party celebrated the victory of David Edevbie because they cannot be governed by street credibility as Latimore AkA Stomach Infrastructure wants it.

“Everyone is happy that David Edevbie won the ticket fairly because he is someone we are all proud of. Someone that is educated with sound certificates ,” he said.
