By Daniel Dafe

The National leadership of the African Action Congress, AAC, has said that Omoyele Sowore is pulling a fast one on the unsuspecting general public by parading himself as the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 election, describing his actions as a “hoax by an expelled member.”

A statement on Thursday signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Slyvester Cletus, added: “Sowore in his usual desperate manner but a goof-off attempt to clings party’s presidential ticket is now mendaciously leveraging on the media and has unfortunately been billed to appear on AIT’s presidential series on Democracy Today by 7pm to further his deceitful antics as an impostor.”

“For the umpteenth time, Sowore has been expelled from the party over proven allegations of financial misappropriation and anti-party activities since August 9, 2019.

“Such a charlatan personality cannot double as our presidential candidate and party chairman,” the party said.

AAC called on the management of the African- Independent Television, AIT and other media Houses not to fall for Sowore’s antics and call off any invitation earlier extended to him.
