By Adeboye Ado
A chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Hon. Adeyeri Stephen, has applauded the military over the arrest of attackers of St Francis Catholic Church, Owo.
Terrorists had on June 5, attacked the Catholic Church and opened fire on worshippers during a Sunday Mass, killing 48 parishioners.
But the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen Lucky Irabor, during a parley with media executives at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja, on Tuesday, said the terrorists were arrested by the military in collaboration with other security agencies.

Adeyeri in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday, hailed the military for tactically nabbing the perpetrators, saying the arrest will put away the morbid fears in residents.
The terse statement read, “I want to commend the military for living up to the expectation of the people by arresting the perpetrators of the horrendous attack on St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo”
“June 5 was a black day for us in Ondo State, as the attack left its devastating effect on families of victims, as some of the survivors of the bloodletting incident are still receiving treatment in the hospital.
“I was cheerfully delighted when I received the news of the arrest. Our security agents have done well by not allowing the black sheep to go scot free”
The Chieftain, however, urged security operatives to synergize to make crimes decline to the lowest ebb
