By Agare Williams
Oniyama Godwin, a former Msc student of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, has donated books to the Department of Economics, as a way of giving back to the insititution.
According to Oniyama, “I feel obliged to come and give these books to the department that created way for many of us to be who we are today,” just as he urged the students of the department to use the books to further their academic pursuit.
“We are successful today because of how we were treated here. Many of us had nothing but we witnessed a lot of goodies that pushed us to what we are today,” he said.
Receiving the books on Friday, September 2, 2022, HOD, Dr Tom Eze, expressed gratitude to Oniyama for making the donation to his former department.
He commended the ex student, saying that the current generation needs their help and the department is ready to collaborate with stakeholders to push the department forward.
