2023: Edevbie’s Agenda, Mine To Develop Delta State, Oborevwori Tells Ughelli PDP Members

…Appeals For Votes For Himself, Other PDP Candidates

The Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 Governorship election and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has told the people of Ughelli North Local Government Area that his agenda and that of Olorogun David Edevbie whom he contested with were one, geared towards the development of the state.

Speaking during the campaign visit to Ward 9, Uwherun, Ward 8, Evwreni, Ward 2, Ogor and Ward 7, Afiesere, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state, he commended the leaders in the area, especially in the Afiesere ward for supporting their son, Olorogun David Edevbie, during the PDP governorship election as it portrayed support for their own.

Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who is also the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, said he was confident with the massive turnout of PDP leaders, members and community leaders at the campaign grounds, adding that PDP would win all the contestable seats in 2023.

According him, “PDP is the only party that conducted free and fair primary election for about 13 of us, where I emerged winner. Our opposition didn’t conduct free and fair primary, which shows their hatred for the process of democracy.

“My emergence as governorship candidate of the party was a result of the mercy of God. Primary elections are over; PDP is one, we are all one. I am your inlaw. So, also your son because my grandmother hails from Ughelli kingdom and my wife hails from Evwreni Town.

“I can assure you that if you vote for me, I will not forget the people of Ughelli North Local Government Area because my M.O.R.E agenda will bring meaningful development, opportunities for all, realistic reforms, and enhanced peace and security,” he added.

He noted that he was a leader with impeccable character who had been able to manage the affairs of the state House of Assembly for over five years without blemishes, unlike the past when a speaker barely piloted the affairs of the house for three years.

He urged the people of Ughelli North Local Government Area to vote Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Delta Central District, saying he had worked tirelessly through the DC-23 to ensure that the governorship seat came to Delta Central District; vote the House of Representatives candidate, Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency; Mr. Jimmy Idiovwa for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency I and Hon. Onoriode Agofure for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency II.

Also, Chief Ighoyota Amori, PDP Senatorial Candidate, Delta Central District; House of Representatives candidate, Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency; Mr. Jimmy Idiovwa for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency I and Hon. Onoriode Agofure for Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency II, have promised to attract massive development to Ughelli North Local Government Area, if voted for in 2023.

The candidates, who made the assertions during the Delta State PDP ward-to-ward campaigns to Sapele Local Government Area wards 9, 8, 2 and 7, said they were in the wards to solicit for votes and on a need assessment of the area.
