2023 Polls: Agoda Promises Robust Representation In House Of Reps

The Candidate for Ethiope Federal House of representatives on the platform of All Progressive Congress(APC), Hon. John Halims Agoda, has promised to give the people a robust representation in the House of representatives if voted into office, come February 25 this year.

Hon. Agoda stated this when he went with his campaign team to Boboroku Community, a sub-clan in Idjerhe Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State.

He said, he is aware of the pain the people of Ethiope West have gone through over the years as they lack growth and development saying, when voted for, he will put smiles on their faces.

According to him, he would empower the people, especially the youths by providing job opportunities for the teeming graduates while those who cannot make it educationally, he would ensure that they are given entrepreneurial skills to enable them take care of themselves and their family.

He said:”I am not contesting for its sake but to improve on not only your lives but the children as well. By the grace of God, when you vote for me and I win the elections, I will ensure the entire area experience growth and development.”

Speaking further, he said, it is not him alone but the Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, the Governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and all APC candidates for the elections..

He said, among other things, he would revamp the Boboroku Cottage Hospital which has been abandoned for years, renovate the primary and secondary schools in the area just as he would tar the roads which lead to the community.

According to hm, the challenges of electricity which the community have would be a thing of the past as he would ensure that experts are brought in to fix everything in order.

On his part, the Legislative Assistant to Senator Omo-Age , Hon. James Efevwerha said, as all know, Hon Agoda is the son of the soil who has contributed immensely to the growth of Ethiope in General and Boboroku Community in particular as many of the youths have been empowered, saying if given the mandate, he would do more.

He said:”We all know our House of Representatives candidate has helped our youths, elders, women, and men in no small and he intends to do more if given the mandate”.

He said, one remarkable thing that Hon. Halims Agoda, has done for Ethiope West in general and Idjerhe in particular was challenging the federal government to remove the pipes from Idjerhe when there was fire disaster which claimed millions of lives in Idjerhe in 1990s. He said, the incident happened, instead of the federal government sending relief materials to the victims many of who have gone into hiding due to fear of arrest, it referred the people as thieves who scoped fuel. It was after this challenge by Hon. Halims Agoda backed by Late John Ogude, the Otota of Idjerhe Kingdom then, the federal government saw the need to send relief materials to the fire victims. Although many had died, a good number were saved in the process.

According to him, the Federal Government had no choice but asked the fire victims to come out from their hidings to have treatment. He said, this singular act shows that Hon. Agoda has the interest of the people at heart.

On his Principal, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Efevwerha said,he is the person the cap fits for the Governor as he has done a lot of things for Delta State as Deputy Senate President.

He said, among other things, Agege was able to attract Federal Polytechnic to Orogun, empower many of the traders with petty cash, install transformers in many villages across the state, and empower many people across the state.

According to him, when he wins, no doubt, the myriad challenges faced by Deltans at the moment would be a thing of the past.

He therefore used the medium to call on ward 6 especially and Ethiope federal in general to vote for all APC candidates in this year’s elections in Nigeria, Delta State and Ethiope Federal in particular to get a new lease of life.
