Camel Beaten To Death After 'Chewing' Owner's Head

A camel was beaten to death after it severed its owner’s head in Rajasthan, India.

The owner of the camel, identified as Sohanram Nayak, went to rein in the violent animal, and it attacked him throwing him to the ground according to The Times of India on Wednesday.

The camel picked its owner by the neck and threw him on the ground, severing his head.

This resulted in the villagers and the victim’s family beating the camel with sticks to calm it down with the fear of hurting another person, which lead to the death of the camel.

In the video of the incident which went viral, people armed with sticks tied the camel to a tree before beating it to death.

In another development, DELSU has extended the submission of first semester Continuous Assessments (CAs) for the 2025/2026 academic session. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) who said this in an official memo, recalled that a circular dated 3rd February, 2026 was issued to Deans of Faculties on the submission of First Semester Continuous Assessments (CAs) for the 2025/2026 academic session, with the deadline set for Friday, 20th February, 2026. Adding: “Following appeals from some Deans of Faculties, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O.Asagba, has approved a final extension of the submission deadline by one (1) week. “Accordingly, all Departments are required to forward their Continuous Assessments (CAs) to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on or before Friday, 27th February, 2026,” saying that “no further extension will be granted.” “Deans and Heads of Departments are requested to ensure strict compliance,” he said. Meanwhile, Deans of Faculties have been informed of the urgent need to submit the 100 Level result spreadsheets for the 2024/2025 academic session. According to Owamah, all Heads of Departments (HODs) are to download their respective 100 Level result spreadsheets from the University Result Engine and forward same to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on or before Thursday, 12th February, 2026, for onward transmission to the Vice-Chancellor.
