PLEASE, MAKE THE GOLDEN CALL!

It is on record that the campaigns between you and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, enroute the 2023 governorship elections was no doubt rancorous, caustic and embittered.

However, since the elections has finally ended and results have started trickling in, It is no longer news that Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, (PDP), is having a convincing lead over you – Sen. Augustine Ovie Omo-Agege, candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

Therefore, It is in this connection of an obvious and convincing victory by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, that I urge you, DSP Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege to make the “golden” call to concede defeat. This is because the election has been won and lost, given the number of Local Government results that has been declared thus far, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Your Excellency sir,
By making the golden call to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, you will not only be doing the right thing without the current realities, you will go down in history as a statesman and a true Deltan, who truly wants the betterment of Delta State.

This “golden” call will also put an end, to possible needless legal tussles between you and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, which will cause distractions, going forward. It will also enable Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to concentrate on his promise of bringing MORE development to Deltans.

It will also erase the records of acrimonious and combative campaigns leading to the elections. And thus entrench the philosophy of “politics without bitterness”. After all, we are all fighting for a better Delta State.

While I look forward with positive anticipation that you will listen to the voice of reason and make the “golden call”, please accept the assurances of my highest regard.

Thank you!

Onajite Malcolm Tagbarha, FHNR
Special Assistant, SA to Delta State Governor
