Deputy Youth Director of the All Progressives Congress Governorship Campaign in Delta State, Comrade Efemena Umukoro, has congratulated the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Delta Central Senator-elect, Chief Ede Dafinone, on their victories in the just concluded polls.

Speaking to Oasis Magazine via a telephone conversation, the elated youth leader opined that their victory was a clear attestation of what the people want in leadership.

The foremost human rights activist in the state, opined that Tinubu has displayed good qualities of good governance, human capital development and reshaped Lagos State.

In his words, “as youth leaders, we believe that he will use his experience to build as he takes over the affairs of Nigeria as a country while we are also thanking the president-elect who in his first speech promised Nigerian students that there will be no more strikes in our higher institutions.”

He further encouraged drop-outs to go back to school.

He added: “A nation that takes priority in education, is a nation that is ready to grow.”

On Dafinone’s victory, he said: “Urhobos got it right for once by voting Chief Dafinone as this further unites Urhobo people and gives room for continuation of what Senator Omo-Agege has done in the Senate.”

According to Umukoro, for anyone to be able to lead Delta Central, he must be someone who is devoted, Intelligent and can add meaningful development to Delta State like Senator Omo-Agege has done over the years.

“There is honestly no match for ChIef Dafinone at the root level because overtime, the youth president has complained that Amori was unable to facilitate the transformer and step down to Mosogar after the government paid for the contract twice. Urhobo people should not forget this in a hurry and that was displayed at the poll where chief Dafinone won Amori even in his own Mosogar,” he said.

He said it is time for Chief Dafinone to start up work and ensure that he does not fail Urhobo people who genuinely believe in his intellectual capacity.

Speaking further, he said: “I am using this medium to congratulate all winners in the just concluded election,” just as he described the election as the most credible and fairest election in the history of Nigeria, saying much violence was not recorded.

He also used the opportunity to commend INEC, security agents and observers for doing their best to ensure that Nigeria moves from one democratic government to another.
