DTHA: APC’s Ohwofa Wins Ughelli North Constituency II Seat

The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) has declared Barr. Obokpare Spencer Ohwofa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the Ughelli North State Constituency II election
The Returning Officer for the poll, Mr. Gomeromo Tamaraebi Abraham, announced the result on Monday in Ughelli.

Announcing the results, Mr. Tamaraebi said Barr. Ohwofa polled a total of 13,157 to beat his closest rival, Hon Onos Agofure of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 11,911 and Comr. Alexander Eyamu of the Labour Party who polled 2246 votes to come second and third respectively.
He said: “I, Gomeromo Tamaraebi Abraham, hereby certify that Spencer Obokpare Ohwofa of the APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and polled the majority of total valid votes cast is declared the winner of the Ughelli North State Constituency II election.”
Ohwofa won 4 of the 6 electoral wards of the constituency in the election results declared by the INEC.
