Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi Came to Demarket SDP In Delta, Party Roars

By Daniel Dafe
Leaders of Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Delta State, have said that the governorship candidate of the party in the 2023 elections, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi demarketed the party.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, State Publicity Secretary, Comrade George Onyidu, said: “We Regret having a man who has no regards nor respect for Party LEADERS.”
He continued: “From the beginning, we tolerated his excesses; thinking he will change. Deltans could not have voted him. He practically became the State Chairman, State Working Committee and the only one who was running SDP.
“We were never part of his actions. What manner of man is he?
He never keeps to his promises, abuses party leaders from National to Ward level.”

Continuing, he said: “Whenever he went out for campaigns, we return with bitterness.
We shall take a definite decision about him as far as SDP Delta State is concerned. It would have been better we never had a governorship candidate.
“Let the whole world know that we are not part of his abysmal failure in the last election.
On his part, State Assistant Secretary, Mr Ifeanyi Iyamah, said Gbagi was never ready for election, “hence the woeful outcome.”
In his words, “in all his entire career, he is yet to meet a character like Gbagi.”
Adding: “We shall take a stand soon..We don’t need him here in SDP.”
