JP Is A Call To Serve In Peace Building –Okoh

The Treasurer of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Worldwide, Olorogun Eunice Daji Okoh ( JP ) has asserted that appointment as a justice of peace ( JP) is a call to serve in peace building in the society.
The All Progressive Congress ( APC) stalwart in Ughelli South Local Government Area made the assertion in a media chat with news men shortly after she was sworn as a Justice of Peace in an Otor – Udu High Court of Justice, Udu Local Government Area on Wednesday, 17th May, 2023.

The renowned philanthropist also asserted that no meaningful development can take place in the absence of peace.
“That is why we seek peace in all our endeavours ; even in our homes , and environments .
“If there is crisis in Udu Local Government Area or Delta State now , this function cannot hold, ” she added.
Okoh further proudly disclosed that she has been involved in peace building as a member of Peace Building and Conflict Resolution Committee , Delta State while she was in the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) .
“I have also been involved in peace settlements between companies and communities and people that have disputes in my country home , Okwagbe, “she stated .
Okoh had earlier appreciated the Delta State Government for her appointment as a justice of peace as she vowed that the appointment will spur her to put in her best in peace building.
Her eldest child, Amanze Ike Morris an engineer , spoke in the same vein as he expressed delight over the appointment.
Amanze however noted that the appointment was long overdue as he stated that those that are close to his mother will affirm that she is a peace lover and peace maker.
Okoh a former Vice Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council and PDP aspirant House of Representatives for Ughelli / Federal Constituency, later held a superb reception for guests at her prestigious Danic Mega and Suites Otor Udu.
