Obaseki Sacks Over 200 Appointees Weeks After Election

Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has relieved civil commissioners and other aides of their appointments. The dissolution was announced during the State Executive Council on Wednesday.
The governor also releived all Special Assistants, SAs, and Senior Special Assistants, SSAs, of their appointments.

According to a statement released and made available to newsmen in Benin City by the Special Adviser, Media Projects to the Governor, Crusoe Osagie noted that the dissolution of the council takes immediate effect. The governor however expressed appreciation to them for their support and service to the government and people of Edo state.
