Sapele NUJ Congratulates Festus Ahon On Appointment As CPS To Governor Sheriff Oborevwori

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sapele Correspondents’ Chapel of the Delta State Council, has congratulated Festus Ahon on his appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
The appointment of Ahon, a veteran journalist, Senior Correspondent of the Vanguard Newspapers and National Ex-Officio of NUJ was made on Monday by the new adminstration hours after the Governor was sworn-in.
A statement on Tuesday signed by Comrade Nelson Agbajor, NUJ Chairman, Sapele Chapel and Comrade Daniel Umukoro, NUJ Secretary, Sapele Chapel, added that “the new CPS has distinguished himself as one of the best hands in the state and his appointment was timely based on his humility, commitment and dedicated services to the media profession.”

“We are glad that a professional journalist that many look up to was picked for the job of the CPS.
“The Chapel leadership also commends the Governor for extending his hand of fellowship to the NUJ, by making his first appointment few hours after being sworn-in as the Executive Governor of the state,” the statement said.
According to the statement, “Sapele NUJ Chapel is ready to partner with the office of the CPS and contribute her quota aimed at giving quality media reportage to this administration.”
