2023 BECE Examination To Begin Tomorrow In Delta

Delta State Government (DTSG) has said that the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) would commence from Monday , June 4 , 2023.

A statement from the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro explained that materials for the conduct of the examination had been deployed to the various offices of the Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) for onward distribution to schools in their LGAs.

Mr. Oghoro advised the JSS 3 students that would be writing the examination to comport themselves and desist from examination malpractice during the examination.

The statement further enjoined them to approach the examination with positive mindset , adding that they should put in their best so as to come out with flying colours, thus making their parents proud.

Oghoro in the statement said that any students who failed would repeat the class while resit examination would be conducted for those that would resit.

It noted that officials of the Ministry would be led by the Permanent Secretary to monitor the examination.

The statement also directed all the Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) to mobilize their staff to monitor the examination in their areas.
