He emphasised that government activities would gain momentum following the inauguration of the commissioners.

“We will hit the ground running and put an end to these visitations that have occupied the past two weeks. It’s time to focus on governance, as time waits for no one,” Governor Nwifuru stated.

“We are serious about delivering on our promises to the people, as outlined in the All Progressives Congress (APC) manifesto.”

Governor Nwifuru further highlighted his administration’s commitment to good governance and its special attention to women, in line with their campaign pledges.

“As women have become the cornerstone of my administration, I assure the new SSG of my full cooperation. This may be unusual, but it is a positive development for our state,” he affirmed.

While acknowledging that his appointment choices had surprised many individuals, the governor urged patience from those who did not receive the positions they desired. He assured them that continued earnest prayers could still lead to appointments in the future.

The governor disclosed that the commissioners of his administration would be sworn in on Tuesday, June 20.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the other appointees, Prof. Grace Umezurike, the new SSG, thanked the governor for the opportunity and assured him that they would not disappoint the state.

“We recognise that life itself is a continuous learning process, and you have given us the chance to learn and grow,” Prof. Umezurike stated.

Governor Nwifuru also administered oaths of office to Chief Mathias Adum as his Principal Secretary and Mr. Timothy Nwachi as the Deputy Chief of Staff, along with several other aides.
