Tonukari Pledges To Take Higher Education To Enviable Height

The new Commissioner for Delta State Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari who was sworn-in alongside others, has resumed duties with an assurance of taking institutions of higher learning in the State to an enviable heights.
Prof. Tonukari gave the assurance in Asaba, the Delta State Capital on the occasion of his assumption of official duties as the Commissioner for Higher Education.
While expressing joy in his appointment and being assigned the Higher Education portfolio, the commissioner solicited for the cooperation and support of staff in order to ensure that the Ministry delivers to boost manpower for sustainable development.

“The essence of this meeting is to familiarise and reassure ourselves that we would have a better working relationship and that nothing has changed,” he noted.
According to him, the Oborevwori administration through the Ministry would play crucial roles in shaping the regulatory framework that governed tertiary institutions in the state.
On his part, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Anthony Nwokolobia while welcoming the Commissioner, assured him of his support stating that together the vision and dreams of Governor Oborevwori for Higher Education would be achieved.
