Bishop Ewherido Leads Warri Catholics In Celebration Of Corpus Christi

The Bishop of Warri Catholic Diocese, Rev Father Dr Anthony Ewherido led catholic faithful in Sacred Hearts Cathedral, Warri to mark the annual Catholic celebration of Corpus Christi on Sunday, November 26, November, 2023.

The event featured a procession by parishioners who prayed , sang and danced along Bowen Avenue Road , Stadium Road , Cemetery Road and Warri / Sapele Road opposite Alele Army Base where the Secred Hearts Cathedral is located.

A devout Catholic , Agatha Okene who spoke to our correspondent explained that Corpus Christi was celebrated annually by Catholics to expose the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

The Agbarha Warri born retired Delta State Broadcasting Service (DBS) newscaster also stated that the event was celebrated stimulataneusly by parishioners globally in honour of the head of Christian faith, Jesus Christ.
