Deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the 2023 guber polls in Delta, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi today in Kwale met with selected stakeholders of the party in Ndokwa Nation.

Speaking at the venue, Osanebi said he felt it necessary to convene the meeting to appreciate the party in Ndokwa Nation for their support in the 2023 elections now that the supreme court judgement of January has brought into the gubernatorial electioneering process.

According to Osanebi, the past election has proven that it’s no longer business as usual in Delta State were one party has always had an easy ride in the general elections without any form of opposition.

While admonishing party leaders to firm up their relationship with members at the grassroot, Osanebi charged members of the APC in Ndokwa Nation to remain steadfast and focus as the party embarks on a rebuilding project.

In their separate remarks, deputy state chairman of the APC- Barr. Francis Obigbor, former Speaker of DTHA- Rt. Hon. Olise Imegwu and other party leaders who spoke, appreciated Osanebi for convening the meeting, adding that it’s is a sign the party is ready to correct it’s mistakes ahead of the next elections.

In a similar development, Osanebi has pledged to continue his empowerment programmes irrespective of the fact that he’s not holding any political office currently.

The former lawmaker doled out cash, wrappers and other items to party members, with a promise to continue interacting with grassroot members of the party to ensure they are carried along in the happenings of the party.
