By Daniel Dafe
AMB (Dcn) Monday Onoharhigho lfoghere, immediate past state chairman, National Association Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS, Delta State has reacted to the expulsion letter to the Chairman of NAPPS in the state, Mrs. Young P.N, saying Dr. Ochuko Akpeme remains the South South immediate past National Vice President and since his tenure has expired, has no such powers
According to him, since he was also Indicted by the said expulsion letter, keeping mute is consent.
He said in a statement made available to Oasis Magazine: “Dr Akpeme Ochuko’s tenure as NVP of South South has expired since November, 2023.”

On why NAPPS in the state did not rely on Abuja to print the examination papers, he said: “The National said then that there were no rebates and there was no other way for us than to look for an alternative. The clarification on this has been given in the Unified Exams subscribers platform long before now here in Delta State and even the National Chairman of the Unified Exams was also briefed.”
Meanwhile, he said Dr Akpeme has no moral justification to talk on Delta State Unified Exams because for more than two years now he has not subscribed for the exams through the state.
“Finally, if the exams issue is the reason for the expulsion, he should have expelled all of us in the unified Exams Committee. And every member or State not writing the unified Exams in south South should be expelled as well. After all it is optional.”
According to him, Akpeme knows why he is doing what he is doing.
“NAPPS Delta State belongs to all of us who are financial members. Let’s us not destroy this beautiful association because of despiration and it must be me syndrome,” he added.
He warned that “politics must be taken far away from NAPPS or we destroy it.”
“I stand behind my State Chairman, Dcns P N Young. I stand behind the Confirmed board of trustees NAPPS Nigeria. I stand behind our NVP South South, Hon Reuben Ekoshueh. I stand behind the New National President, Dr Samira Jibir. I stand behind the 2017 Constitution which is the only confirmed constitution known to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC),” he concluded.
