Peter Obi Congratulates Anthony Joshua For Winning Fourth Straight Fight

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has congratulated Nigeria-born Anthony Joshua for winning his fourth straight fight against Cameroonian boxer, Francis Ngannou yesterday in Saudi Arabia.
In a post on X, Obi, said “Joshua displayed the fighting spirit of Nigerians, especially the youths, who in the face of the most unpleasant challenges remain resilient and continue to fight, courageously, for a better nation.”
He added: “I do hope that this victory will also spur him on to win back the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion.”

“I urge other Nigerians everywhere to continue to reach for greater heights in their areas of endeavor, as this will help us to build the New Nigeria we all desire,” his post added.
While also congratulating Francis Ngannou for his participation in the competition, he said: “Irrespective of the outcome of the fight, the duo represent the strength and vigor with which African youths are working towards a New Africa.”
