One Year In Office: Idawene, Ofobrukueta Says Gov. Oborevwori Came Prepared

As countdown for one year in office began, the Convener of Integrity Group of Delta state, Dr. Oke Idawene and the immediate past Chairman of Ethiope East LGA, Parm. Victor Ofobrukueta have pointed out that going by the track records of performance of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, it was obvious that he came well prepared for governance.
The duo spoke at Okurekpo, Ethiope East Local Government Area, during investiture and award ceremony bestowed on Ofobrukueta as part of recognition for his exemplary leadership, services to humanity and formal endorsement for his second term in office by the Integrity Group of Delta state, the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation ambassadors.
Idawene noted that under governor Sheriff Oborevwore, Delta state is moving forward and being transformed hence the need to rally support for the administration and honour personalities like Ofobrukueta who have contributed to the development of the state while in office as chairman of Ethiope East LGA.

“Today, the chairman is being recognised and being invested as one of our patrons. He equally received an award of honour in recognition of his outstanding performance in office. There is the need to recognise individuals who have done well in office and also project them for greater assignments.
“We are all witnesses to the development strides of our dear governor; visit Warri and you will see for yourself the massive construction works going on there. It’s a sign of someone who came in with a vision for what he want for his people. We must support governor Sheriff Oborevwori to enable him implement his MORE agenda.”
Parm. Ofobrukueta expressed delight on the honour done on him by the Integrity Group, saying the award of humour will spur him for more services and dedication to the people.
“Governor Oborevwore came to office prepared, we need to support his programme and policies to succeed. We are proud of Integrity Group of Delta state. You are doing well and as one of your patrons, I will support you people to continue to get more people to key in to governor Oborevwori’s administration.
“With the development trajectory of governor Oborevwori, I can assure you that by 2026, there won’t be any opposition in this state. The governor has succeeded and has exceeded the expectations of his critics. If anyone tells you that governor Oborevwori is not doing well it is either he is blind or not sincere.
“Immediately he came on board, he paid all outstanding arrears of the civil servants in the state. Employed more teachers to meet educational challenges in the primary school level, the protracted crisis between Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja he has solved it. That is how you will know a leader who is well prepared for leadership.
“I want to reassure you that the honour bestowed on me will make me to be more committed to the MORE agenda which Integrity Group stands for,” he declared.
The ceremony was graced by Hon. Dagidi Andaye, one of the patrons of Integrity Group, Dame Patience Tejere, a Patroness of Integrity Group, Chief Rosemary Esiso and the Deputy Chairman of PDP Ethiope East LGA amongst other party supporters.
The occasion also witnessed the formal unveiling of Hon. Edesiri Aganbi, the immediate past Secretary of Ethiope East LGA, as the administrator of Integrity Group Ethiope East Chapter.
