Delta LG Election: Esiovwa Deserves 2nd Term – Onojighofia
The immediate past Deputy Leader, Okpe Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Kingsley Ese Onojighofia, Ward 6, Okpe local government area of Delta state, yesterday, said the immediate past Okpe local government council Chairman, Hon Isaiah Esiovwa deserves second tenure following his performance during his first tenure in office.
Rt Hon. Kingsley Onojighofia who made this appeal while speaking to newsmen recently in a political function in Okpe local government area, said the immediate past council chairman, Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa has performed creditably in his first three years in office, hence they are calling on the Delta state Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the good people of Okpe for continuity so he can complete the good work he has started.
While highlighting some of his achievements of the immediate past chairman, Hon. Onojighofia said some of them are; the renovation and construction of the Nigerian Union Of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Okpe chapter secretariat in the council, renovation of ( DIESC) office Orerokpe, Hospital Equipment, Transformer and his continued mass clearing of drainags In Orerokpe, Okuokoko, Osubi and communities of Okpe for a healthier living.
Onojighofia said on assumption of office by the Chairman, the first thing he discovered was that there was total darkness in the council at night posing serious fear to government properties in the council, so he provided solar street lights around the council premises for power supply at night.

The Chairman also graded several rural community roads, opened community drains, bought vehicles for the Vice Chairman OKPE LGA, Secretary, HPM, TLG, Leader Okpe legislative Arm, councils senior management staffs, constructed new council gate, acquiring and fencing of the Okpe local government cemetery in Orerokpe, provision of street lights in the secretariat, youths empowerments among others.
Rt. Hon Kingsley Onojighofia pointed out that throughout the three years of his administration, Hon. isaiah Esiovwa was consistent in paying workers salaries, and he has been maintaining cordial relationship with the staff and management of the local government, and said they will continue to give him their supports.
