lnene Community Sacks Youth Chairman, Treasurer, Taskforce Chairman Over Gross Misconduct

The leadership of Inene communiity, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state, on Wednesday, sacked the community youth Chairman, Mr Victor Panama, the treasurer, Mr. Victor Akpomedaye and the taskforce Chairman, Mr. Okiemute Ejemudiyero.

The community youth Chairman, Mr Victor Panama, treasurer, Mr. Peter Akpomedaye and the taskforce Chairman, Mr. Okiemute Ejemudaro positions were terminated by the community leadership following allegations of gross misconduct, hardheadedness and has shown no respect to the community leadership.

ln a statement by the senior spokesman of the community, Mr. Joshua Uviejitor, President General, Mr. Wisdom lgbogidi and copied Ovie of Ughelli, HRM Wilson Ojakovo and President General, Ughelli Descendants Union, Chief Samuel Akpimegi, said complaints were pointing towards Mr. Victor Panama, the youth Chairman, Mr. Okiemute Ejemudiyero and Mr. Victor Akpomedaye who had indulged in several misconducts to bring the name of communiity to dispute.

The statement reads in parts, “In view of the nefarious activities carried out by the youth Chairman, the treasurer and the taskforce chairman, the leadership of the community resolved that the above mentioned positions and names should cease to act in their various capacity.

“We have also resolved that anybody seen transacting business with these persons shall pay heavily as fines and henceforth, issue of deve and other payments not approved by community the community will not be entertained as the Vice Chairman of the community takes over as the Chairman.

“While we were on the issue, we were summoned to the office of the Ughelli Area Command, and there the Area Commander appealed to us to temper justice with mercy so he could come to our meeting so that we can resolve the issue but he refused, hence we sacked him and two others and asked them to return every property at their possession to the community.”
