Barr. Ajede Lauds NUT, Tells Teachers To Shun Drug Addiction In Public Schools

The Ukwuani Local Government Council Chairman, Hon (Barr.) Possible Ajede has lauded the NUT, Ukwuani chapter for training prospective leaders of Ukwuani for the betterment of the students, the communities, the state and the Country at large.

Interacting with the NUT members, Barr Ajede emphasised that even when teachers are not celebrated in the society, they should generate their own calender and fit into the present Ukwuani administration by being innovative .

The Council Chairman admonished teachers to look at ways of improving on themselves, what will help the teachers to raise responsible children because it is easier to build a child than to repair broken adults.

The Chief Security officer of Ukwuani further pledged to direct his Special Adviser to put the NUT in the integral part of his administration’s ‘Do More Agenda’ while stating categorically that his attention be drawn anytime the Ukwuani teachers feel sidelined.

Arising from NDLEA reports, the Executive Chairman reiterated that teachers at all level should shun the unholy attitude of drug abuse among students, take out few minutes to talk to the students about the need to abstain from dipsomania, pull them out from the wrong route to avoid its negative effects of the society, he stated.

“I will try as much as possible to integrate and fellowship with NUT acrose Ukwuani communities to see ways to combat wrong use of drugs among youths in line with the do-more -agenda.”

Responding on behalf of NUT, Chairman, Comrade Jackson Obi congratulated the chairman on his victory during the council polls while commending him for being alert to the needs of the Ukwuani people.

Comrade Obi promised that Ukwuani NUT would hearken to the reservations of Barr Possible Ajede to better the lives of youths in public schools.
