DTSG In Partnership With World Bank Set To Offer Operational Grants, Others To Businesses In Delta

Delta State government in its ongoing partnership with the World Bank under the NG/CARES/D-CARES program has said that the initiative to support micro and small business in the State viz: the Result Area 3 component will continue.
This was contained in a statement on Friday signed by Dr Godwin Adolor, Executive Secretary, Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA).
The statement added: “Building on our previous efforts to revitalize economic growth following the covid-19pandemic, we are now offering additional Operational Grants and Information Technology Enhancements to eligible firms.”
Thus, the state government invited owners of micro and small businesses in the state to take advantage of the ongoing opportunity.
Interested business owners are to visit the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, located at Olorogun Felix Ibru Secretariat Annexe, Asaba, for further inquiries.

“Please note that only businesses that meet the eligibility criteria will be qualified to access the state government intervention,” the statement said.
See eligibility criteria below:
- Firm must be registered under CAC or Delta State Ministry of Trade and Investment
- Firm must be existing at least two years before June 16, 2020
- Existing business must be domiciled in Delta State.
- The head of a business with two or more firms can only benefit once
- Verified personal account name and number
- Verified BVN number
- Verified personal phone number
- The age of the owner of business must not be below 18years and not above 60 years
- The Grant is only for vulnerable and viable Micro and Small Businesses
“The state government is committed under the M.O.R.E agenda to continuing our support for the growth and development of micro and small businesses in Delta State,” the statement concluded.
