Turn-By-Turn: Who Says Oborevwori’s Brother Can’t Be Delta Sports Commission’s Chairman?
In my opinion, Onoriode ‘Onos’ Oborevwori is free to campaign to be appointed by his elder brother, Gov Sheriff Oborevwori as Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission.
I am told that in the just concluded National Youths Sports Festival that ended at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium, Asaba that many young girls were seen wearing T-shirt bearing Onos Oborevwori for Chairman of Delta Sports Commission.
There is no law forbidding the relatives of the Delta governor from contesting any position in Delta. Okowa appointed his daughter as one of his aides and no qualms. Uduaghan appointed his brother in-law Amaju Pinnick as Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission.
Okowa appointed his younger brother Tonobok as Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission. Amaju Pinnick’s appointment by his in-law Emmanuel Uduaghan catapulted him to international level and has become a Multi-Billionaire with his wealth spread all over the world.

Recently it was widely reported by media that he owns multi-billion naira farms in Oyo state. Amaju Pinnick made his instant wealth from Delta Sports Commission. Tonobok Okowa is also rated as one of the richest persons in Nigeria. Now it is turn-by-turn.
It is the turn of Oborevwori to appoint his younger brother to make wealth as usual. Oborevwori didn’t start it. It is a tradition of Deltan’s governors. Sports ought to be a full ministry/department but Uduaghan felt it was easier to make money from the state if he decided not to appoint Commission.
The Delta State Sports Commission has been turned to a family business and it started with Uduaghan and through Okowa and now Oborevwori.
The Delta Sports Commission has been turned to private Farms and factories by past governors except Ibori.Oborevwori has not done something new as I see it.
