It’s An Offense For A Policeman In Uniform To Smoke In Public

Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, has said that it is an offence for a policeman in uniform to smoke in public.
He said this while responding to a post on X that had an attached photo showing a policeman who wore uniform smoking in public.
He wrote: “It’s not an offense for any police personnel to smoke, but it becomes a disciplinary offense when he does that on uniform and in the public.”

According to him, ‘every policeman has the right to enjoy his fundamental human rights and privileges,” adding: “But we have our ethics and code of conduct. In this context, this officer erred.”
