Laudable! No Service Charge/Fee Increase, Rector Tells Students Of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara

“The Management of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara at its meeting held on 10th October 2024, in consultation with the Governing Council and other stakeholders, has reiterated its traditional stand on the promotion of quality and affordable education in Delta State, and keyed fully into His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborovwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda, and for students and parents to benefit from the dividends of democracy.”
This was contained in a statement signed by the Rector, Professor Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, on Thursday.

The statement continued: “Consequently, the Polytechnic has decided to show love to the Polytechnic’s students by maintaining the existing school fees regime. In essence, there is no service charge/fee increase across the board irrespective of the student’s state of origin.”
“Management noted the current economic situation and “has decided not to push our dear students into paying higher fees as a result Management has decided to bear the inherent burden. Management also noted that increasing the service charges would put students and parents in tight economic difficulties, thus, decided to maintain status-quo,” the statement added while calling on students to resume their studies peacefully, face their studies with optimum focus, remain disciplined and key fully into the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborovwori to take Delta State higher.
