Christmas, A Season To Reflect On Our Shared Humanity –Senator Nwoko

By Daniel Dafe
The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, has said that “Christmas is a celebration of love—the love of Christ for humanity,” adding that Christmas is a season to reflect on our shared humanity.
The senator said this on Tuesday in a post on X.
According to him, the life of Jesus while He was on earth “was marked by compassion, selflessness, and sacrifice,” saying that these values should “inspire our daily actions, especially for those in leadership.”
Continuing, he said “true love is about putting others first and working for the greater good, a principle that should guide governance at all levels.”
Senator Nwoko opined that “when leaders embrace the love exemplified by Christ, they lead selflessly, prioritizing the needs of the people above personal interests.”
In his words, leaders given to love “ensure that access to basic amenities like clean water, electricity, quality healthcare, and social welfare are not luxuries but rights enjoyed by all.”
Adding: “Such governance uplifts society, creating an environment where people thrive and true progress is made.”

Furthermore, he said: “As we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us renew our commitment to fostering love in our homes, communities, and country.”
“Love drives us to act with integrity, empathy, and dedication to building a better society for everyone,” he averred.
“To my beloved constituents, Nigerians, and Christians around the world, I wish you a joyous Christmas filled with love, peace, and hope. May the values of this season inspire us to work together for a future where every Nigerian enjoys the dignity and quality of life they deserve.
“Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year,” he concluded.
