Christmas: Keep The Peace, Ovie Of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom Charges Subjects

By Daniel Dafe
The Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM (AVM) Ochuko Ararile, Avwaeke 1, has charged indigenes of the kingdom to continue to keep the peace in the community, just as he urged them to make do with what they have, as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.
He spoke to journalists on Sunday during the 2024 Nine Lessons and Carol event he organized.
He added: “Yes, this year is tough, but I think there is a saying, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. This is a temporary challenge we are facing and I think from the middle of next year, we will start seeing improvements in the economy.”
While describing the 2024 edition as “excellent, well organized and well attended,” he said despite the hardship in the land he went on to host the event, saying he is happy with the outcome just like everyone that graced the event.
He said further: “I do not do things based on happenstance. It is planned. As we are doing this now, I am already planning the financing for next year. So, it is not something I just do; it is planned.”

Speaking further, he wished Deltans a blissful 2024 Christmas celebration.
His words: “Deltans, I greet you all in the spirit of the season and I wish every Deltan and every Nigerian, and in fact, everybody in the world, season’s greetings and the best of luck going forward.”
