NUJ Delta Set For 2024 Press Week To Hold December 29-31

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Delta State Council, will be rounding off year 2024 with her Press Week scheduled to hold from Sunday, December 29 to Tuesday, 31, 2024.
A statement signed by Barry Agbanigbi, Chairman, Press Week Planning Committee and Oris Aniretan, Secretary, Press Week Planning Committee, added that the event will begin on Sunday with the Media Awareness/Thanksgiving Day for union members in the state.
According to the statement, “the Thanksgiving venue for those in the state capital territory area is Living Faith Church, Okpanam.”
The statement continued: “Monday, December 30, 2024, is the Press Week Lecture/Award Day to hold at NUJ Press Centre, Maryam Babangida Way, Asaba at 11.00 a.m.”
Oasis Magazine can report that the Monday event will be graced by dignitaries from all walks of life.

Some of those to attend include Rt. Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency (Chairman), Elder Chris Biose, a veteran journalist and elder statesman (Alternate Chairman), Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State (Special Guest of Honour) and Mr. Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State (Special Guest of Honour).
Also to grace the event are Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, Member Representing Delta North, Senator Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa West) and Senator Adams Oshiomhole (Edo North) who will serve as discussants.
HRM Obi Prof. Epiphany Azinge, Asagba of Asaba, will play the role of Royal Father of the Day and the NUJ President, Comrade Alhassan Yahya as Chief Host.
The organisers said the 2024 Press Week will conclude on Tuesday with the Community Development Service Day.
