Apst. Johnson Suleman Blasts Young Preachers Who Want To Be Great Without Serving In Any Church

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries International, has criticized young preachers who aspire to greatness but have never served in any capacity within a church.

He made this statement during a Sunday service, emphasizing that true leadership is built on a foundation of service.

He said: “Service is proof of availability. You can’t claim to be available when you are not currently serving.”

Expressing his concern, he remarked, “There are young preachers today who have never served in any church. They have never been in the prayer band, never been in the choir. They have no history of service! None that you can trace to say, ‘This is your history.’”

He argued that effective leadership in ministry requires a background of service and commitment.

“You cannot be a leader if you have not been led!” he stressed.

Reflecting on his own journey, Apostle Suleman detailed his extensive service within the Church of God Mission.

“The only department I was not part of was the women’s department—Christian Women Fellowship International,” he recalled humorously.

He shared his personal experiences in various church departments, including the choir, prayer band, ushering, and deliverance ministry.

“I entered the choir for nine months—I ran. Don’t ask me what happened, but I ran,” he recounted, drawing laughter from the congregation.

He emphasized that there are living witnesses who can confirm his dedication to service.

“Human beings, not spirits, can confirm what I’m saying,” he affirmed.

Apostle Suleman’s message serves as a stern warning to aspiring ministers, reminding them that true greatness in ministry is rooted in a history of faithful service.
