In a move aimed at advancing the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, has officially launched the Service Compact with All Nigerians (SERVICOM) in Sapele Local Government Area.

The launch, which took place at the office of the Sapele Local Government Chairman, reinforced the state government’s commitment to enhancing public service delivery, ensuring accountability, and promoting citizen satisfaction.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon highlighted SERVICOM as a strategic tool in fulfilling the governor’s MORE Agenda, emphasizing that it would serve as a bridge between government institutions and the expectations of the people.

He stated, “The launch of SERVICOM in Sapele LGA is a testament to Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to transparency, efficiency, and service excellence. This initiative will help drive improved service delivery across all government institutions and ensure that citizens receive the quality service they deserve.”

Hon. Solomon also acknowledged the economic potential of Sapele, Warri, Oghara, and other industrial hubs in Delta State. He assured the people that the governor remains committed to reviving the lost glory of these areas through infrastructural development, industrial rejuvenation, and social welfare programs.

While commending the Chairman of Sapele LGA, Hon. Bright Abeke, for his leadership and developmental strides, Solomon noted that the level of activity within the local government secretariat was an indication of a well-functioning administration.

“I am pleased with the level of engagement I have observed here today. It shows that the Sapele Local Government Council is not just active but also focused on delivering good governance to the people,” he said.

In his response, Hon. Bright Abeke expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Funkekeme Solomon for the visit and for bringing the SERVICOM initiative to Sapele LGA.

He further commended Governor Oborevwori for his people-oriented leadership, stating that his administration had significantly improved governance through various developmental projects across the state.

To mark the occasion, Hon. Abeke unveiled eleven new transformers, which were loaded in a truck and set for distribution to all wards in the local government. He described the gesture as a direct implementation of the MORE Agenda, which seeks to bring infrastructural improvements closer to the people.

“These transformers will go a long way in addressing the electricity challenges faced by our communities. It is another clear demonstration of the governor’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all Deltans,” he said.

The event witnessed the presence of top government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders, all of whom lauded the launch of SERVICOM as a step in the right direction for effective governance and improved service delivery in Sapele LGA.
