Bayoko Retires To Refire For The MORE Agenda: Integrity Group Unveils Him As Patron

In a powerful display of unity and purpose, the Integrity Group of Delta State (The More Agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation Ambassadors), officially unveiled Sir Bayoko Reginald, mni, the immediate past Head of Service of Delta State, as Patron of the coalition.

Held in Asaba, the unveiling event attracted notable dignitaries, political actors, and grassroots mobilizers, further reinforcing the coalition’s campaign for good governance and the reelection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

In his acceptance speech, Sir Bayoko Reginald expressed deep gratitude to the Integrity Group, led by Dr. Oke Idawene, acknowledging the impactful work the group has carried out since the beginning of the More Agenda administration.

He noted that he had been observing the group’s activities from inception and was moved by their consistency and dedication, which informed his decision to join their cause.

“I am fully ready to abide by the group’s code of conduct and stand by The More Agenda,” he declared, describing Governor Oborevwori’s mandate as “divinely orchestrated” and a seamless alignment with the hopes and aspirations of the people.

He also recounted a moment before the gubernatorial primaries when dissenting voices rose against Governor Oborevwori’s aspiration. According to him, it was his own son who reassured him, saying, “Daddy, Sheriff Oborevwori will deliver the day.” That moment solidified their unwavering support for the governor.

During the closing remarks, the Convener of the Integrity Group, described Oborevwori’s leadership as a divine mandate that must be propagated.

“Our task is to raise ambassadors and rally Deltans to embrace continuity, because one good term deserves another,” he stated.

He emphasized that the group’s decision to unveil Sir Bayoko as the More Agenda’s Head of Service was symbolic, as Bayoko had been with the administration from its very beginning. The Convener recalled Bayoko’s remarks during his retirement thanksgiving, where he publicly pledged full support to the More Agenda. “Today, we are grateful he has received us all,” he added.

Sir Bayoko pledged his full backing for all activities of the Integrity Group in support of the More Agenda, including his commitment as the keynote speaker at upcoming events such as the One Million-Man March and the symposium marking Governor Oborevwori’s two years in office.

Also speaking at the event, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Igbrude, the Chief Adviser of the Integrity Group, praised Governor Oborevwori’s outstanding performance so far. “If in less than two years the governor has done this much, then it’s only wise for all political parties to adopt him as a sole candidate. That way, after his eight years, it will no longer be just an ‘American wonder’ but a ‘Delta wonder,’” she remarked.

Adding his voice, Comrade Bolum Mathis, Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Delta State, declared the support of the state’s workers for the governor and the Integrity Group. “We are ready to increase the One Million-Man March to a Two Million-Man March because Governor Sheriff has done well for Delta State workers. We are fully with the Integrity Group of Delta State till 2031,” he affirmed.

The unveiling marks a significant milestone for the Integrity Group and its allies, as they deepen their campaign for integrity, inclusion, and people-centered governance in Delta State.
