Senator Joel-Onowakpo Congratulates Governor Oborevwori

Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, representing Delta South, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and all members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on their defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC), as he welcomes them to the party.

Senator Joel-Onowakpo in a post on his Facebook page, described the decision of Governor Oborevwori as historic, saying that it was a new dawn for the people of Delta State.

He therefore charged members of the APC to welcome the decamped with open hands in the spirit of camaraderie, just as he said that the move will strengthen the Party.

According to the statement, “Today marks a historic moment for Delta State and Nigeria as a whole! I warmly welcome His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, and all members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

“This bold step signifies a turning point in our state’s political history, ushering in a new era of unity, development, and progressive governance. As a leader of APC in Delta State and Senator representing Delta South, I reassure our supporters and members that this move strengthens our collective resolve to deliver dividends of democracy.
