Ogedegbe Joins APC After Consultations With Oborevwori, Key Stakeholders
The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His decision follows in-depth consultations with Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and other key figures from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), marking a pivotal moment in his political career and in the political landscape of Delta State.
This move comes at a time when both the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, and other influential stakeholders from the PDP have also transitioned to the APC.
This collective shift signals a strategic alignment that is expected to strengthen the APC’s position in Delta State.
In a statement about his decision, Chief Ogedegbe shared that his choice was made after careful reflection and thorough discussions with Governor Oborevwori and other influential leaders.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with many remarkable leaders in the PDP, and together, we’ve made significant progress. But after reflecting on the future of Delta State and consulting with our Leader, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and others, I believe that the APC offers the best path forward to help achieve the long-term goals for our state,” he said.
Chief Ogedegbe further emphasized that his move to the APC was also to enable him and other stakeholders to work in unison for the success of the MORE Agenda.

As the Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Chief Ogedegbe has been instrumental in driving positive change within his local government area.
With this strategic move, Chief Ogedegbe is well-positioned to continue his work for the advancement of Delta State, ensuring that the goals of the MORE Agenda are met, and contributing to the national growth and stability under President Tinubu’s leadership.
