Kano Tragedy: FRSC Corps Marshal Calls For Collective Action Against Road Carnage In Nigeria
The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has commiserated with the Kano State Government and the families of the 21 travellers who lost their lives in a tragic lone road crash that might have occurred as a result of fatigue and excessive speed as a result of long night trip.
This incident which happened on 31 May, 2025 at Gadar Yankifi on the Kaduna-Kano expressway is said to serve as a reminder of the need for collective action against road crashes in the country.

The Corps Marshal, however emphasized the need for fleet operators to admonish their drivers against fatigue driving and violation of speed limits especially as they drive in the night when visibility is extremely poor.
