Senator Ned Nwoko, Standout Legislator In Delta, Says Former DTHA Deputy Clerk

Dr. Ebi Franklyn Waboke, a former Deputy Clerk of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) and 2023 candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for Burutu Federal Constituency, has publicly declared Senator Ned Nwoko as the standout legislator in Delta State, describing him as “the only one working” amid a chorus of other elected officials.
In a strongly worded statement titled “We Need Ned Now,” Waboke praised the senator’s consistent legislative visibility and delivery, contrasting it with the silence and inactivity he says have plagued other representatives since the 2023 elections.

“Senator Ned Nwoko is undoubtedly the Delta State Legislator of the Years: 2023 – 2025,” Waboke boldly stated.
“Two years after the elections, most of our legislators have gone silent. But one man has remained visible, vocal, and actively legislative: Senator Ned Nwoko. He speaks, he acts, and he delivers.”
The 2023 Burutu federal constituency candidate expressed concern over what he described as politically motivated attacks on Senator Nwoko, claiming the lawmaker is being targeted for refusing to conform to corrupt political practices.
“It is this same man that enemies of progress now seek to bring down, because he refused to join the corrupt circle,” Waboke said. “It is not strange: when you shine, the shadows grow jealous.”
In his address, Waboke posed pointed questions to the public, demanding accountability from other legislators across various levels of government.
“Where are your councillors? Where are your House of Assembly members? Where are your House of Representatives members across the state?” he asked. “What bills have they sponsored? What motions have they moved? Where is their oversight work?”
According to Waboke, Senator Nwoko’s record stands in stark contrast to his peers, and he accused unnamed forces of attempting to undermine the senator’s reputation.
“Ned Nwoko stands alone in performance, and they attack him for it,” he said. “But we see clearly. And we say it plainly: We Need Ned Now.”
The statement has sparked fresh conversations around legislative accountability in Delta State with Senator Ned Nwoko being on the spotlight as the most outstanding legislator ever produced in Delta State since 1999.
