Bishop Udi Bags Honorary Professorship Award

Another feather of honour has been added to the cap of His Lordship, Bishop Dr Michael Oritseweyimi Udi as he was conferred with an honorary professorship by Salvation Herald Bible College, Regal Walk Statan Island, New York, United States Of America (USA) on June 28, 2025.

In the letter of conferment, Salvation Herald Bible College, explained that the honourary professorship on Bishop Udi who is a publisher and multiple author was in appreciation of his selfless service to the institute in terms of teaching, research, other intellectual support and founding of projects.

The new honourary professor of effective church management and administration is the minister in charge of St Akpata New Jerusalem Church Of God, Ogunu Branch in Warri South Local Government Area.

Bishop Professor Udi who spoke to our correspondent in a media chat  at his country home of Ogunu, glorified God for the conferment just as he appreciated the management of Salvation Herald Bible College for considering him worthy for the award of an honorary professorship. He vowed that the award will inspire him to do more for humanity.

His Lordship Bishop Professor Udi ‘ s niece, Suara Reginal Udi who also spoke to our correspondent, gladly and proudly remarked that the honourary professorship was well deserved by her uncle. She therefore congratulated him.

His Lordship, Bishop Professor Michael Oritseweyimi Udi hails paternally from Agbarha Warri community of Ogunu and maternally from Uku Family in Okere Itsekiri both of Warri South Local Government Area.

His Lordship Bishop Professor Michael Oritseweyimi Udi is happily married with one wife and many children.
