Super Falcons Gear Up To Face Algeria

The Super Falcons of Nigeria completed their final training session in preparation for Sunday’s match against the Fennecs of Algeria, scheduled for 8 PM.
Having already secured their place in the WAFCON quarterfinals, the team is ready for the next challenge.
Looking back, the Super Falcons have a recent history with Algeria, having played them in two friendly matches last year.
The first match took place on October 26, 2024, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, where the Super Falcons won 2-0, with Rasheedat Ajibade scoring both goals.

The second match was played on October 29, 2024, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, resulting in a 4-1 victory for the Super Falcons.
Folashade Ijamilusi scored a hat-trick, and Gift Monday also contributed a goal.
These friendly matches primarily featured players from the NWFL, along with some of the team’s foreign-based players.
