Confusion In Umuahia: Coach Imama Submits Resignation, Abia Warriors Say “He’s Going Nowhere”
There is tension brewing at Abia Warriors FC as the club and head coach Imama Amapakabo appears to be in a serious standoff over his future.
Reports indicate that Coach Imama has expressed his desire to leave the club, with strong speculation suggesting that he has already agreed personal terms with Kano Pillars FC, including a lucrative financial package.
In a dramatic twist, Imama reportedly visited the club secretariat to formally submit his resignation letter, along with one month’s salary as part of his contractual obligations.
However, Abia Warriors rejected the resignation.

Sources claim the coach even offered to buy out his contract using personal funds — but the club still refused, insisting he must stay.
As of now, Oasis Magazine understands that Abia Warriors have lodged an official complaint against Kano Pillars to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) committee, accusing the Northern club of improper conduct.
The situation continues to unfold, and stakeholders are watching closely.
