DESCOEM Provost Pays Courtesy Visit To DELSU VC

The Provost of Delta State College of Education, Mosogar, Dr. Samuel Ogheneovo Ugboduma, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Delta State University, Abraka, Prof. Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, on Wednesday.

The Provost and his management team were warmly received by the VC and his management team.

In his speech, the Provost, Dr. Samuel Ugboduma, an alumnus of DELSU Abraka, recalled his academic journey and wonderful experience in the prestigious institution, dating back to 1989.

He affirmed that DELSU, being an institution with great brains, shaped and molded him to become who he is today.

He further averred that his visit is to further strengthen the existing relationship between the College and University.

In contrast, he proposed some new courses to be added to the existing ones running in the Clcollege under the affiliate degree programme of DELSU, Abraka.

He noted that DESCOEM has always maintained a culture of academic excellence through its qualified human resources and infrastructure over the years, adding that the institution is committed and determined to uphold, sustain, and ensure that both institutions benefit significantly from the existing relationship.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Asagba, welcomed the Provost and his team on behalf of the University, while adding that the university will continue to maintain the relationship between both institutions.

He further assured the Provost that his proposal would be looked into with a view to approval within a considerable time frame.

In the Provost team were Dr. Nathaniel Ethel (Deputy Provost), Mr. Simon Fole (Registrar), Mrs. Rita Dumbiri (Ag. Librarian), Dr. Eseoghene Sule (Director DELSU affiliate Degree Programme), Mr. Vincent Akpobome (P.R.O), and Mr. Bethel Ovie.
