Igbos Should Be Allowed To Have A Shot At The Presidency – Onuora

A chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Delta Central And South Senatorial Districts ( DCSSD) Nze Francis Onuora has urged other Nigerians to allow the Igbos to have a shot at the presidency of the federation.
Onuora who is a Warri based sports wears and equipment merchant,made the call in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent during the 21st Igbo Cultural Day Celebration at Model Technical College Refinery Road Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Monday 29th September, 2025.
He stated that it is a misconception for the Igbo ethnic nationality to be regarded as minority among the comity of major ethnic groups in Nigeria.
” The Igbos have what its take to turn things positively around for Nigeria.
” So we should be given a chance to become the president of Nigeria ” he added.

He advised the young generation of Igbos to be useful to themselves in wherever they find themselves and that they should live amicably with people of their host communities.
He also advised that Nigerians should always give peace a chance as he stated that those clamouring for war do not know the adverse effects of war
He had earlier explained that Igbo Cultural Day is set aside by the Igbos to remember their horeos who lost their lives during the Nigeria civil war and also celebrate their rich culture.
Onuora used the opportunity to appreciate Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his huge patronage for the Igbos as he called on all Igbos and other non indigenes to support Governor Oborevwori and other All Progressive Congress ( APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections in order for them to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy through Governor Oborevwori ‘s MORE Agenda.
