PREFEL Foundation For The Girl-Child Pays Courtesy Visit To Isoko North Chairman Ahead Of “Books Before Boys” Campaign

As part of activities lined up for the International Day of the Girl-Child, the PREFEL Foundation for the Girl-Child, led by the founder, Dr. Mrs. Precious Emuoghenerue Omoruwou, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. Eldr. Prince Godwin Ogorugba, in preparation for the official flag-off of its flagship campaign, “Books Before Boys”, to hold on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Opute Hall, Ozoro.
During the visit, the Foundation outlined its vision and reaffirmed its core objectives, which include: promoting education as the foundation of empowerment for every Girl-Child, building confidence and leadership skills in girls to help them thrive in society, advocating equal opportunities for girls in education and leadership and supporting the health and well-being of girls through access to learning materials and hygiene resources.
One of the highlights of the October 10 event will be the distribution of the newly published book titled “Books Before Boys” to secondary school girls across the local government. The book authored by Dr. Mrs. Precious Omoruwou captures the vision of empowering girls to place education and personal growth above distractions, inspiring them to succeed in life.
In addition, the program will feature the emergence of a Girl-Child Ambassador among the secondary school girls in attendance after a worthwhile competition.
