PRESS STATEMENT: Embracing Peace: A Collective Responsibility For Warri's Progress

Press Release by Southern Women Empowerment Forum, Delta State Chapter

The Southern Women Empowerment Forum (SWEF) urges the three ethnic groups in Warri to unite and embrace peace. We must learn from the past and build a brighter future. Peace may come at a cost, but it is far cheaper than the devastating consequences of war.

As we witness the transformative infrastructure developments in Warri, championed by the Oborevwori-led administration, we cannot afford to revisit the trauma of the past. We call on leaders to promote peace and avoid inflammatory rhetoric.

We urge all stakeholders to prioritize dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect. Let us celebrate our diversity and unite for a stronger Warri.

The Southern Women Empowerment Forum remains committed to promoting peace, empowerment, and development in Delta State. Together, we can achieve greatness and create a brighter future.

Signed:

Dr. (Mrs) Rose Obi
State Coordinator
