Warri: Orosuen Donates Creche Centre To Olodi Primary School

HRM Dr Morris Ogheneochuko Eyekpimi – Egboboyen, Owhotemu 11, the Orosuen (traditional ruler) of Okere Urhobo Kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area has donated a creche centre to Olodi Primary School, along Okumagba Avenue, Warri.

The highly respected traditional ruler made the donation to the primary school on Tuesday, 14th October, 2025.

The Okere Urhobo monarch who was ably represented by his wife, HRH Elizabeth Eyekpimi – Egboboyen in his keynote address at the event, explained that the gesture was aimed at encouraging education from infant age as he promised to do more good things for the school.

Owhotemu 11 stressed that education is not a scam and therefore encouraged parents and guardians to invest in the education of their wards.

The Chairman of the State Primary Board Committee of Communities in charge of relating with primary schools in Okere Urhobo Kingdom and government, Deacon Samuel Azunebor in his keynote address, was full of praises for the Okere Urhobo monarch and his wife for the gesture.

The Edo State born resident of Okere Urhobo Kingdom remarked that the creche centre is the best in any government owned primary school in Warri South Local Government Area and indeed Delta State.

He however listed power generation and security as some of the major challenges being envisaged by the new creche.

Deacon Azunebor therefore appealed to government, corporate organizations and public spirited individuals to assist the creche centre in the provision of security and power generation.

He also charged career parents and guardians to take advantage of the Creche Centre for the benefit of their kids

The Local Education Secretary, Warri South Local Government Area, Augusta Omatsone also hailed the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo monarch for the gesture.

She however appealed to the traditional ruler to extend his gesture to other primary schools in the area.

On his part, the Supervisory Councilor for Initiative and Sports Development Warri South Local Government Council, Chief Hon Butler Igbigbi who represented the Executive Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council Hon Isaac Weyimi Agbatineyero in a media chat with our correspondent, also thanked the Okere Urhobo monarch for the gesture.

Chief Igbigbi promised to present the requests of the State Primary Board Committee of Communities to his boss for consideration.

The Queen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, HRH Elizabeth Eyekpimi – Egboboyen who spoke to our correspondent in a media chat urged authorities of Olodi Primary School, Warri to make good use of the creche centre as well as maintain it.

The Head Teacher of Olodi Primary School, Warri, Mrs Mary Omologe who also spoke to our correspondent, lauded the Okere Urhobo royal couple for the gesture as she promised that the school will make good use of it.

The Counsellor representing Olodi/ Okpeki Ward in Warri South Local Government Council, Hon Friday Iriferi, the Secretary of State Primary Board Committee of Communities, Chief Friday Okolobe , the Personal Assistant ( PA) to the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Chief Hon Udumetotor Eghere, the Chairman of Okere Urhobo Development Movement, Emuaghogho Eburu, Chief Venture Evwrerhamemre, High Chief Nikagbatse Oki, Chief Lawrence Akpoveta among others graced the epoch making event.

High points of the event were the presentation of a souvenir by the Head Teacher of Olodi Primary School, Warri, Mrs Mary Omologe to the wife of the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, HRH Elizabeth Eyekpimi – Egboboyen, the cutting of tape to inaugurate the Creche Centre by the Queen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, inspection of the creche centre by the Queen of Okere Urhobo, HRH Elizabeth Eyekpimi – Egboboyen and donation of dozens of customized note books to Olodi Primary School Warri by Okere Urhobo Queen.
