Birthday Anniversaries Are Celebrated In Appreciation Of God’s Goodness – Oyovwi

The Provost of College of Education ( COE), Warri, Dr Dickson Onovwakpoma Oyovwi JP, has asserted that birthday anniversaries are celebrated in appreciation of the goodness of God.

Oyovwi made the assertion in a media chat with our correspondent during the surprise birthday anniversary party held for him by his wife, Mrs Gift Okeoghene Oyovwi, at a prestigious hotel in the federal university community of Ugbomro in Uvwie Local Government Area on Friday 14th, 2025.

The Otokutu born Provost of College of Education (COE) who is a devout Christian of the Anglican faith stressed that birthday anniversary celebrations attract the blessings of God.

He had earlier appreciated his wife for surprising him with his birthday anniversary celebration.

Though Oyovwi admitted that he was aware that Friday, 14th November, 2025 was his birthday, but he however quickly added that he did not know that his wife will surprise him with the huge birthday anniversary celebration.

On her part, Mrs Oyovwi who spoke to our correspondent explained that she decided to surprise her husband in such a wonderful way because of her immense love for him .

“Nothing will be too much for me to celebrate in a colorful way,” she added.

Mrs Oyovwi took the opportunity to appreciate those who attended the surprise birthday party in spite of the short notice of invitation.

Some of those she mentioned included the members of Oyovwi family of Otokutu, members of Ologide family of Agbarha Warri Kingdom, 1st Vice President General of Urhobo Progress Union ( UPU ) Worldwide, Chief Barrister Isaac Itebu, the immediate past Provost of College of Education, Mosogar, Dr Israel Imide, Mr Paddy Iyamu, the Deputy Provost of College of Education (COE), Warri, Dr Umukoro, Academic Staff of College of Education, Warri, Mr Andrew Ukavwe, Chief & Chief Mrs Paul Evwierhoma, Chief ( Mrs ) Onajite Noah, Faith Affe, Mrs Ese Daniels, Mrs Juliet Emeni, Mrs Rose Edeta, Chairman and members of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE ), Warri South Local Government Council Chapter, Pharmacist Ufuoma Obada, her parents, Mr & Mrs. Ambrose Ologide, among others.
