Oasis Magazine Welcomes A Dynamic Young Voice, Faith Ebireri, To Its Editorial Team

Sen. Comr. Ebireri Faith Oghenemarho (Miss), a proud Urhobo lady from Oviore-Ovu in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, brings remarkable academic brilliance, leadership experience, and a passion for ethical journalism to the publication.
A first-class graduate of the Department of Mass Communication at the prestigious Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU), Ms. Ebireri distinguished herself as one of the institution’s most outstanding students, graduating with an impressive academic performance from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies.
Her exceptional academic and leadership records have earned her numerous prestigious awards, including:
– Christian Fellowship International (CFI), DELSU Abraka Chapter – 2024/2025 Best Graduating Student Award
– Supreme Students’ Senate (SSS), 31st Assembly, DELSU Abraka – Senate Award for Academic Excellence (Top-Performing Student, with a CGPA of 4.73, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies)
– Media Maverick Award for Most Outstanding Academic Performance
– Communication and Media Studies Students’ Association (COMMESSA) – Award of Academic Excellence
– Students’ Union Government Hall of Fame Honour
– Media Mavericks Award – Political Icon of the Year
Ms. Ebireri made history at DELSU as the first female Senate President in 31years of the Students’ Union Government (SUG). A groundbreaking achievement, having also been the first female senator representing both the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies.
In June 2025, she organised a landmark legislative summit “The Parliamentary Blueprint, A Summit of Legislative Legacy” in the DELSU auditorium, the first of its kind under her leadership which brought together the Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Emmanuel Emeka Nwaobi, Hon. Charles Emetulu, Chairman of the House Committee on Education and Member representing Ndokwa West, both past Senate Presidents and senators of the Supreme Students’ Senate, the apex law-making body of the SUG.

Despite her demanding political responsibilities, Ms. Ebireri maintained an extraordinary balance between leadership and academic excellence. A passionate advocate of the “School No Be Scam” initiative, she recently served as guest speaker at the “Career Talk with Sheriff” a programme for SS3 students at Osubi Secondary School, an event hosted by Comr. Obaro Egagifo, Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Students’ Affairs.
Currently, she serves as the Personal Assistant on Media to the Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emojeya, Leader of the Ethiope East Legislative Arm, and as the Director of Socials and Welfare of the National Female Students’ Association of Nigeria (NFSAN). Her growing media presence and compelling publications across digital platforms have earned her recognition.
