The Vice Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, has approved that all staff and students proceed on a Christmas Break from Monday, 22nd December, 2025 to Friday, 2nd January, 2026.

This was contained in statement on Tuesday issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations, Vice Chancellor’s Office.

According to the statement, “essential services will remain operational throughout the period.”

Adding: “Normal University activities will resume on Monday, 5th January, 2026.”

“On behalf of the Governing Council, Senate and Management, the Vice Chancellor extends warm Christmas Greetings and best wishes for a peaceful, joyous and refreshing holiday season to all members of the University community, with hope that the break provides time for rest, reflection and renewed strength ahead of the New Year,” the statement concluded.
